faye gilbert - director

A graduate of Bournemouth Film School in 1998 Faye’s debut short film DOG won the David Altshul Award for creative excellence in filmmaking. Her other short films for broadcast include PERDIE, which was nominated for a Best Short Film BAFTA as well as HARD LITTLE MAN which was shortlisted for the Orange / FilmFour prize. Since 1998 Faye has also empowered and worked with socially excluded young people making over 30 drama and documentary films about their lives in care, in prison, excluded from school and about the reality of living in gang cultures and socially deprived areas. Faye is currently in development of her feature screenplay TOWERS to be produced by the Bureau Film Company and has just completed a short film LEAVING EVA also produced by the Bureau.
