Jenny Walker has over 15 years experience as producer and director of award-winning one-off investigative documentaries and flagship dramatised documentary series for broadcasters including BBC, ITV and Channel 4.
In 2002 she set up the production company FoR FILMS (Frames of Reference Films ltd), with her documentary-making colleague: the awarded Line Producer, Helen Stewart.
FoR FILMS' first project DELILAH, a BAFTA/Kodak and TCM awarded 35mm rites-of-passage short film marked Jenny's move into drama production. This short film featured stunning high-end post production effects combined with live action to stage DELILAH's anti-racist, anti-bullying message as a contemporary Hollywood-Bollywood fantasy. This big budget short was financed by the UK Film Council and Film London and supported by Working Title Films in development.
Jenny considers the best documentaries give the truth about the individuals featured, while drama reveals universal truths. So FoR FILMS have developed documentary series for broadcast and a slate of feature projects that explore moral dilemmas across a wide range of story styles, budget levels and genres.
Jenny's current feature film slate includes MULE - a rites-of-passage drama inspired by a true story; A SPLENDID THING - a blackly comic revenge satire: with a horribly high body count for a romance; and @13 - which fuses documentary and drama to reveal one mother's dark past through her teenage daughter's eyes.
